User Service Charter
The Friends if Akitas Trust (UK) aims to provide a high quality service to all those who come in contact with the organisation. Whether you are applying to adopt, wish to put your dog up for adoption, purchase from our online shop or simply make a general enquiry, this Charter sets out the level of service that you can expect. If you feel that we are falling short of these standards, please let us know.
At all times we will:
• Treat you with courtesy and respect
• Ensure that your adoption enquiry, application or giving up your dog enquiry or form will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt
• Allocate one representative to be your main point of contact
• Try to answer your query as best we can, if this cannot be done immediately, we will get back to you within a reasonable timescale
• Keep you informed of timescales relating to dealing with your enquiry
• Keep in regular contact with you for the duration of your enquiry and / or application
• Give you any help you need in filling in forms
• In home visitation situations (assessments or home checks), we will inform you of any information that we may need prior to the visit
• In home visitation situations (assessments or home checks) we will give you as much notice as possible if an appointment has to be altered or cancelled
• Look for ways to improve services and will learn from comments and complaints.
• Keep your details confidential, as far as possible and under the terms of the Data Protection act (1998)
What we ask of you:
• To treat the FOA Trust (UK) volunteers with respect and politeness at all times
• To understand that we are volunteers, often volunteering alongside fulltime employment, and are not always available take phone calls at certain times
• In home visitation situations, give us as much notice as possible if an appointment has to be altered or cancelled
