Prince

Meet Prince our handsome young lad. Prince arrived with us from the stray dog pound as nobody had claimed him.

We really don’t know why as he’s a lovely boy. He walks well on the lead once he’s settled into his stride and seems comfortable walking with other Akitas. He can get a bit squeaky and giddy when he sees smaller dogs out walking so for this reason we would only consider a home with a large breed, spayed female, following successful introductions.

Prince is food motivated which will help with his ongoing training. He knows how to sit and give double paw but has lots more still to learn.

Prince is lovely on the lead and he would make a good little walking companion for someone who opens the home and heart up to him. He likes to enjoy a game of chase and will show off his Akita zoomies, he also likes a toy to be thrown for him to follow, but don’t expect him to bring it back.

Prince is small for a male Akita at 30kg, it will take time for him to settle into a new environment as he is a sensitive soul who takes a while to adjust to change. He is happy and relaxed when he has structure and daily routines. He may have the odd accident until he adapts to his new lifestyle and feels safe. Prince is very affectionate and loving once he has formed a bond with you.
As Prince is a stray we are looking to place him in a home either without children or with children over 12 years of age.
