Bonnie *rehomed June 2026*

Bonnie is a gorgeous 7 year old female Akita who is in search of her forever home. Typical of the breed she can be aloof but makes friends quickly with dog aware people and is affectionate and friendly. She greeted our assessor with kisses, a face wash and an excited waggy tail.

Bonnie loves going out and walks reasonably well on a lead although she can be strong while excited. Due to a sad change in circumstance Bonnie has not received the exercise that she is used to but with regular walks her lead work will improve. She can be left alone for a few hours each day and is non destructive in the house.

Bonnie knows her basic commands and loves her food which would make further training easier. She also enjoys playing with toys and shows no signs of guarding. She is not a fan of the feline variety and therefore couldn’t live with small furries.

Bonnie has not lived with small children so will not rehomed with small children. Her ideal home would be one where she can be the only dog in an adult only home where she can go for regular walks to explore her surroundings and be part of her family's day to day life. Homes with dog savvy teenagers can be considered.
