Let us introduce you to the handsome Prince who has sadly entered the rescue system through no fault of his own, his previous owner was too ill to care for him any longer.
Intelligent Prince is a well-behaved chap who is responsive to commands and even knows a few tricks – he is also very affectionate. He’s a calm boy who will play with toys if encouraged but he’d much rather be having cuddles with his special people.
Prince is fine to be left alone for up to 5 hours without getting stressed or being destructive, he is house trained and he enjoys to travel in the car.
As is typical of the Akita breed, Prince can be dominant with other male dogs and would prefer a home as an only dog. He is however sociable with other dogs on walks although he can be a little boisterous. He does not get on with cats and needs an adult only home with no visiting children.
Prince has not been assessed by Friends of Akitas but if you are interested in offering him a forever home or even a foster home until a permanent home comes along please let us know and we will put you in touch with his rescue.
