Meet Teddy, a young boy of approximately 18 months, he’s very handsome and he knows it.
Ted clearly hasn’t had the start he should have in life. He was found straying with a huge chain dangling around his neck. Scared, unsure and nervous.
In the time Ted has been with us he has progressed amazingly well. He absolutely adores the kennel owner which reassures us that in his new home he will bond with his family. He is very food motivated and will happily sit, give paw for a treat, he has learned to take food gently.
Ted needs an adult only home and we cannot consider homes with children or visiting children. He does appear to be comfortable in the company of other canines but we would prefer a home where he can be the only pet, at least initially, to allow the bond to be formed with his owners and time to be dedicated to his training and development.
Ted needs extremely experienced, large breed owners that will understand his behaviours and allow him to settle in his own time. He does have some issues that will be discussed at length with any interested parties to ensure suitability to adopt this boy.
It is important that Teds adopters are able to come to kennels in Nottinghamshire multiple times before taking him home. This is to ensure that he has time to get to know his new people before a change in environment.
Ted loves his time out of his kennel, either in the exercise enclosure where he can play with toys and in his beloved paddling pool or out exploring where he walks lovely on the lead.
He really is a fabulous, proud boy, who is looking for a very special home. If you feel you may be able to meet his needs please contact us for further information.
