Meet Minty, a fun loving happy boy who ended up on death row in a pound after being found as a stray. Rescued by the Friends of Akitas Trust (UK), Minty is now safe in our kennels where we can learn lots more about him! Our assessor met him in the pound, and found him to be bouncy, and pleased to see her. Confident and happy to be petted all over, our assessor checked his teeth and was rewarded with a big lick! Minty appears to have some knowledge of commands, he was happy to sit for a treat, but was more concerned with playing with the treats than actually eating them. Our assessor found Minty to be strong on the lead; however he had not been walked for a number of days, with regular exercise and training this could be worked upon.

As a poundie without history, Minty has not been tested with other dogs or cats, nor will he be placed in a home with young children. We will update this information as we learn more about this handsome boy!
