This is Jack, a beautiful young red male looking for a new home due to change in his owner's circumstances. Jack adores children, and has recently been living with a child aged 8 years old - he has had little socialisation with other dogs, however he was introduced to the assessor's female Akita, who he got on with well, sharing a water bowl and treats. With this in mind, pending successful introductions Jack could potentially live with another dog. Initially wary of men, Jack soon becomes settled in their company when he knows that he can trust them. Our assessor describes Jack as "a stunning dog who would make a lovely pet"; she was also keen to assert that he felt that Jack would respond very well to future training. At present Jack is quite strong on the lead; however he did quickly come to walk closely to our assessor, demonstrating his quick learning ability! Jack enjoyed having a good stroke, and particularly liked to have his shoulders, neck and tummy rubbed.
