This is Colonel, a young Akita male handed into the pound, who has now been with FOA for almost a year. During this time Colonel has gone from a highly strung bouncy boy to a calmer young man, however he does need an owner who will give him a bit of guidance in his life! Keen to meet new people, Colonel is incredibly affectionate with those he knows well and loves a really good walk. Colonel has a basic knowledge of commands, however being food motivated and eager to please, we are sure that his training could be furthered a great deal in a home environment. Colonel has some experience around other dogs, and with satisfactory introductions could potentially live with another dog. Colonel will not be plaved in a home with children, and has no experience with cats.

Colonel has not done well in the kennel environment and at one point got incredibly stressed and thin. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the kennel owners, Colonel has put on weight and for the first time in months looks happy and healthy. Kennels are not an ideal environment for Colonel - could you offer him a home?
