This is Chinook, a gorgeous Akita cross boy looking for a new home due to not getting on with the other dog in the household.

Chinook was placid with our assessor, he did not jump to meet her, and he took treats very gently, giving his paw. He has a basic knowledge of commands; this is something that could be worked upon in a new home. Chinook ideally needs an experienced large breed owner, who can lay out the boundaries and carry out the training that Chinook needs.

Chinook lives in a busy household with three children and other dogs, our assessor feels that he would benefit greatly from a new home where he will receive one on one attention and training, furthermore he should be the only pet. Despite currently living with children, we feel that Chinook would be best placed in a home with older teenagers or without children at all.
