Meet Belle, a stunning young girl with bags of energy! Having been with us now for over a year, Belle was found as a stray in January 2009 and was taken to the local pound from where she was rescued from death row by the Friends of Akitas Trust (UK). An absolute sweetheart, Belle has stolen the hearts of all that she meets, and we have no idea why she has been with us for so long. Currently in foster care after a long spell in kennels, Belle is progressing well and enjoying being in a home environment - proving to be far more settled at home and less bouncy!

Belle has a good knowledge of commands, and eager to please which means that training is progressing well. Having had limited experience with other dogs, Belle initially was not happy around others, however over time she has become far more tolerant and this is something that will be progressed and observed further whilst in foster care. As a poundie, we are unsure of Belle's previous experience with children, with this in mind she will not be placed in a home with children under the age of ten.
