This is Alfie, a young boy who has made a journey across the country to safety! Picked up as a stray in Yorkshire, Alfie was taken in by GSD rescue, who secured a place for him in Devon. Currently in kennels, our assessor found Alfie to be a lovely boy, easy going with a good knowledge of commands including "sit" "stay" and "pose for photos"! Currently incredibly strong on the lead, our assessor felt that whilst he pulls a lot, he was very responsive to comands and correction, with a bit of time Alfie could learn to walk nicely. At present Alfie is quite underweight, the kennels are trying hard to get some more weight on him, understandably Alfie is very responsive to food, however he took treats gently and politely from our assessor.

Alfie has not yet spent much time interacting with other dogs, this information will be updated as and when this occurs. Alfie has spent a little time in foster care with a family including children, however as a stray without history Alfie will not be placed in a home with young children.
